Feb/Mar/Apr Update

Soooo I'm a more than a little behind in my update this time, but I have a good excuse: I've been busy working on Cursebreaker! Without further ado...

Status of Cursebreaker (Heretic Gods #2)

I've finished the 1st draft of Cursebreaker, the second book of The Heretic Gods trilogy, and am about halfway through the first round of revisions.

So what happens next? Once I finish the second draft, which I'm hoping to do within the next 2-3 weeks or so, it'll go to my first round beta reader for comments and critiques. I'm still on track for releasing Cursebreaker in December 2019, as long as I don't drag my feet on further developmental editing (which is my least favorite type and where I tend to slow down).

I'm really excited with how it's shaping up!

Odds n' Ends

Banebringer and Sweetblade are now available in Kindle Unlimited! This does mean that, for now, they are no longer available in other digital formats.

I'm also considering producing an audio version for Banebringer. Right now, I'm just in the "considering" stage, but I hope to be in the "actively looking for narrators" stage before too much time passes.

ICYMI: Sweetblade, a stand-alone Heretic Gods novel delving into Ivana's backstory, is now available. It can be read on its own, after Banebringer, or before Banebringer as an entry point to the series.

Looking Ahead

Something I'm super-duper excited about right now is that in just about a year, I'll be prepping for release the first book in a new character-driven epic fantasy series (no relation to Heretic Gods). Don't worry--this won't affect the timeline for Heretic Gods #3, because the first book is already written. I won't say too much this early on, but this is my "heart-and-soul" series that has been kicking around in my brain for more than a decade, and I'm so eager to finally be able to share the first installment with the world-at-large in just over a year!

As for Heretic Gods #3, assuming all goes smoothly with the release schedule of Cursebreaker, I'll be on track for releasing the third and final book in the trilogy at the end of 2020. After that, it'll be on to the second book in the aforementioned series.
