November Update
It's been exactly 6 weeks and 4 days since my last update. Not bad! Here's what's been happening since then...Status of SweetbladeSweetblade, a stand-alone Heretic Gods novel that focuses on Ivana's backstory, is almost finished! I'm in the process of polishing the final draft and handling all the nitty gritty non-writing details. The release (exact date pending) will be sometime in the week between Christmas and New Year's.My cover artist is putting the finishing touches on the cover, so you can expect a cover reveal any day now! Once again, I think Brit did a phenomenal job, and I can't wait for you to see it.Cursebreaker (Book Two!)Yes, that's right! While Sweetblade was in the hands of my editor, I was hard at work on Cursebreaker, which is the 2nd book of The Heretic Gods trilogy. I'm close to a quarter of the way through the first draft. If all goes according to plan, this one should be out Q4 2019.Love for BanebringerSince my last update, Banebringer has garnered a few more fantastic reviews. I thought I'd share a few tidbits:"Carol A. Park’s first novel deserves a whole lot of attention for its solid characters, worldbuilding, romance and an impressively deep and deliciously complex magic system!" - Booknest.eu"Just when I think there's no way I could read yet another great fantasy debut, I'm proven wrong. Banebringer is an exciting, well-developed, and deeply intriguing fantasy that I am so glad to have had the chance to read." - Forever Lost in Literature"There's a lot to like in this book -- big magic, monsters, nerdy discussions about language translation (I like those), lots of action, well-drawn characters who grapple with emotional issues that are realistically portrayed, and a very nice slow-burn romance." - Angela Boord (Goodreads)That's all for now! Stay tuned for more updates just around the corner.
